Passionate followers of the pop star are demanding that a person who leaped a barricade and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral video shows the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was due to be present on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of supporters had congregated in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of 2024 in the UK, and received 10 Oscar nominations, winning a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
