An Australian man who vaulted over a barricade and touched actress Ariana Grande has been sent away and barred from Singapore.

The individual, twenty-six, was given a sentence to over a week in detention for causing a public disturbance and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities informed local media.

Wen pushed past photographers and rushed toward the actress and singer, who was participating in the regional launch for the film on the thirteenth of November. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

He has a background of interrupting performances and star-studded occasions, including rushing the stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in this summer.

The incident caused anger in Singapore, with many claiming he of re-traumatising Grande.

The pop star has discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist bombing at her performance in the English city in May 2017 resulted in the deaths of over twenty people and affected hundreds.

In the legal process, the authorities learned he had made efforts to breach on the red carpet event multiple times, according to Singaporean media.

He then made a follow-up try to breach security. Event security stopped him and pinned him down.

The man subsequently shared videos thanking Grande for allowing his presence and said he was "free."

Authorities detained him the next day and brought charges against him with causing a disturbance, to which the man admitted guilt.

The Court Judge Christopher Goh was quoted by a news outlet as remarking that the man sought attention, noting that he was incorrect to think he would not experience repercussions.

The actress has not spoken about the situation.

Cynthia Erivo spoke about the situation to NBC, saying that she "simply desired to verify my colleague was safe."

"I believe he had no intention to us danger, but you cannot be certain with these incidents, and I wanted to ensure that she was OK. That was my immediate response," she commented.
